Wedding gear

August 24, 2009

Last summer I got the assignment to make a modern and traditional headpiece for a bride. She was in her early 40s and wanted something with humour and style. After some sketching and trying I came up with the princess crown made of carcas, white sinnamay and white velvet. A silver thread with black beads came out of the crown. The crown was mounted on a wire, dressed with white velvet ribbon. Pink and black feathers created a fringe on the side. The vail was bundled upp on the back of the head and came across the face.

The bride said it was exactly what she could have hoped for and it was very comfortable to wear even though it was just worn as a hairband.
